It’s all very well telling you that you need to be sustainable with your beauty regime, but how exactly should you do that… Read below for 5 easy ways to achieve this.

1. Less Is More!
This one is easy, you don’t need to actually use that much product to get the benefits. For face wash for example you only need a small amount. By going through your products less it then means that you generate less waste. Using less is also economically so its handy to have a proper understanding of how much product you actually need to apply!
2. Reduce Packaging Waste
Packaging on our products is always too much. By only buying products that are recyclable or made from sustainable materials, you will make a great conscious consumer! It is also worth looking into refillable products (Body Shop have good refillable options for a low price!).
Another important element in being sustainable is to try and avoid single use items such as make-up wipes. These wipes are often not biodegradable and we only use it for 2 minutes before throwing it away. Instead try going for a make-up remover balm and a reusable cloth that can just be washed! Check out this article for more ways to sustainably remove your makeup.
3. Eliminate Plastic Completely
Loads of our favourite beauty products come in plastic, which is an unsustainable resource. Instead there are lots of plastic free options for beauty products. From bamboo toothbrushes to shampoo bars there is no excuse for plastic still being present in your bathroom!
4. Homemade For The Win!
Ingredients that we all have in our cupboard can be great to incorporate into our everyday beauty regime. You can make homemade face-masks, hair-masks, exfoliants and so much more, all without buying new products. Stay tuned on our socials for more information of tried and tested homemade beauty recipes!
5. Opt For Multi-Purpose Products
By having products that tackle more than one issue you can reduce the amount of waste you produce whilst also saving on some money! For example a highlighter can be used on your cheekbones but also for eyes. Some cleansers also have some light exfoliant qualities as well so no need to buy two separate products.
Hopefully these 5 easy tips are simple enough to be incorporated into your beauty regime now! Time to save the planet is running out so together we must make it our upmost responsibility to be conscious consumers!
